The island

Spetses is a picturesque island located in the Saronic Gulf, close to the eastern coast of the Peloponnese peninsula. The island played a significant role in the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman empire in the 19th century, and its historical heritage is still evident in its monuments. Renowned for its narrow cobblestone streets, the neoclassical captains’ mansions stretching along the coastal way, and its cosmopolitan atmosphere, Spetses is an idyllic destination, perfect for those seeking a relaxing getaway immersed in history and Greek island charm.
